Distinctive Unit Insignia
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure, two quills saltirewise Argent interlaced by a wreath of laurel Vert and overall a sword of the second, all within a bordure Gules. Encircling the shield a Silver garter inscribed "VICTORY THROUGH EXCELLENCE" in Dark Blue letters.
Dark blue with scarlet piping are the colors associated with the Adjutant General's Corps. The quills are crossed to denote strength and allude to the unit's training mission and affiliation with the Corps. The sword, symbolizing military preparedness and skill, is combined with the laurel, signifying achievement and victory and alludes to the unit's motto.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 15 April 1987.
